Annie and the Fur Trappers
Bio:
Boston’s premier 1920s–1930s hot jazz & swing ensemble – straight from the speakeasy to your wedding, festival, or vintage soirée.
Born in St. Louis and now proudly calling Boston home, this 7-to-8-piece traditional jazz collective (clarinet, trumpet, trombone, violin, banjo/guitar, tuba or string bass, and washboard) brings the raw, joyful sounds of Prohibition-era New Orleans, Delta blues, ragtime, and roaring-’20s swing back to life with infectious authenticity and irresistible dance energy.
Whether it’s a Gatsby-themed ceremony, a swinging cocktail hour, a Lindy-hop reception, or a full-on vintage street parade, Annie and the Fur Trappers turn every event into a 1929 rent party you never want to end. Their award-winning 2019 vinyl release Muskrat Ramble took “Best Self-Produced Album” from the St. Louis Blues Society, and their music is literally on display at the Mississippi Arts + Entertainment Experience.
