DJ Mike Gioscia
Bio:
Mike Gioscia – Boston’s Classic Rock Radio Voice Turned Premier Event DJ/MC
The only DJ who’s literally been the soundtrack of Boston for three decades – former Production Director and on-air voice of WFNX, current voice of WZLX Classic Rock, The River, and host of “Americanarama” on WATD.
Mike started spinning in 1982 at his college station, then ruled Lansdowne Street’s Axis & Avalon clubs (pre-Fenway concert nights for thousands), and has quietly become the first-call DJ/MC for brides, CEOs, and planners who want zero stress and maximum dance floor.
He plays whatever the room needs — 50s oldies for cocktail hour, 80s/90s/00s for dinner, today’s hits when it’s time to rage — because “the crowd hired me, not my record crate.” Clear, confident announcing honed from thousands of commercials and live radio breaks, but never the guy who won’t shut up.
