Houston Bernard

  • Houston Bernard brings authentic, road-tested country music that’s rooted in heritage, grit, and heart, and delivered with the kind of conviction you can’t fake.

A true country music maverick, Houston’s love for the genre runs deep through his bloodline. His family history includes songwriters, touring musicians, and even an outlaw gunfighter whose story inspired The Eagles’ song “Bitter Creek” on Desperado. Born in Oklahoma and raised across Alaska and Massachusetts, Houston carries a uniquely American story into every song. An Army veteran turned independent recording artist, he has built his career the hard way—one crowd, one show, one song at a time.

Blending the storytelling soul of classic country with the drive of rock & roll, Houston draws inspiration from legends like Bruce Springsteen and Dolly Parton while honoring the rockabilly roots passed down through his family. Songs like “All We Are Is Memories,” “People We Are,” and “American Dream” have earned hundreds of thousands of streams across Spotify and YouTube, with features on Country Rebel, CMT.com, The Heartland Network, and The Country Network.

On stage, Houston is a force - powerhouse vocals, commanding presence, and a genuine connection with the audience. He has shared stages with country heavyweights including Luke Bryan, Old Dominion, Granger Smith, and Clint Black. His recent single “Ever Gonna Be,” produced by hitmaker Bill McDermott at Nashville’s Omni Sound Studios, showcases his ability to write anthems for people navigating change, growth, and grit.

In 2024, Houston earned seven Josie Music Award nominations, winning Music Video of the Year & Best Performance in a Music Video for “In My Blood.” Additional nominations included Single of the Year for “Don’t Feel Like a Livin,” EP of the Year for Songs for the People (which debuted with over 1 million streams), as well as Vocalist and Artist of the Year. The momentum is undeniable, and it’s only building.
