Scottish Fish
Bio:
Scottish Fish – New England’s All-Female Celtic group.
Five lifelong friends who grew up in Boston’s Irish sessions and turned Scottish & Cape Breton traditions into something fresh, fierce, and irresistibly danceable.
Fiddle, cello, flute/whistle, piano, step-dance percussion, and five voices in luscious harmony — Scottish Fish deliver driving reels that make feet move before brains catch up, heart-melting slow airs, and creative arrangements that feel both ancient and brand-new. From the opening set of Cape Breton strathspeys to their signature five-part harmony Gaelic songs, every tune is infused with the joy of a decade-plus of friendship.
Called “one of the most energetic and creative acts to take root in the local Celtic scene this century” (Boston Irish Reporter) and “both very traditional and highly flexible” (Folkworld), they’ve headlined festivals across the U.S. and Europe, released three acclaimed albums (including 2022’s Upscale with Neil Pearlman), and built a 300k+ social following — all while still in their 20s and 30s.
